Allo Marc!

It took me a while to 'understand' that photo. And, I'll admit, I wasn't very sure about it. And then, I look and look and look again. And I am more and more bewitched ('charmed' in every meanings of this word) by it.
That face... Big eyes, big smile. Evanescent... And... Am I hallucinating? I see the eye and the face (?) of a horse on the right side.
Gee... my senses are all confused. But I like that beauty.
Claire
N.B.: Nice to see your work again Mrs Filen.

Gosh! This is a pretty good photo!
What is great in it? The two plans, that lady in the front, with the umbrella, the bags and speaking to the phone, her posture, her RED dress and all; and the background people, all cramped in the bus shelter, almost all of them looking towards her (or you). Terrific moment!
What is less good? The cut person in the back. Oh how I wish this person were completely visible, like the rest of the gang, or not there at all. I also wish the sign on the pole seen just over her umbrella wasn't there as well. This could be cloned out without too much work.
But nevertheless, it is a well composed photo and a good one.

Battousai? The "Battousai" that I used to know in TE long time ago? :)))
Well... I'm not around myself most of the time, but a great pleasure to see that you are still alive!
Surely not your greatest photo, but I like the moment. It reminds me the time I used to smoke and drink (a long, long time ago! ;)). Somehow, I wish the glass was not there. It seems that it is there for no reason whatsoever. At least, if she was holding the glass with her left hand, or something, but now, it is more a hindrance than anything. Well, that being said, I like the pose she has. Cigarettes are so "likable" when you're young and beautiful... ;)
Not too sure about the second girl. I wish she would have some kind of link with the first woman, if she was looking at her for example. It will reinforce the story. Right now, I don't really know what to make of her, if you see what I mean.
Gosh... I lost the touch with how to make a critique! Help! :)
Have fun Pawel!

Love this one, Jerzy! It make me smile! The point of view is excellent with the buildings towering over these two fellows. I agree with the cropping made by Daniel. Somehow, the picture seems to be right now a little unbalanced, but I prefer your no-frame version.
Good, real good job, Mr. Bucki! Big applause from me.

Difficult situation here, for me...
Not knowing what is the situation, nor reading the title "Rwanda genocide", I would dare to say that this photo is pure beauty. I can't help it... my eyes are amazed by the beauty of this "photo"... the colors, the sea of men, women and kids and animals... the distribution through the photo of the different elements and the colors that are really perfect. It is like a painting of the old school. Oh... that lonely silhouette of the kid just in front of the water reflecting the yellow sky! Incredible...
But my brain is distressed by the meaning of it, by what brought these people there together... And I want to cry and shout and say "Enough of that insanity!" And of our inability to stop the mass killing...
Gosh Jose... what do you want me to say????
So, I will simply shut up and look at this photo.
Claire
N.B.: I had that nagging feeling that I had seen this photo before... I was right. It's the second time you post it and it is the second time I comment on it... But who cares?... Not me. Not one bit...

"a photo 'bout nothn'..."
Nah! It's all about some girls trying to dazzle everybody around, including the photographer! It's all just for show! Proof: they have no head! :-))))
One of your photos full of humor, that makes me laugh out loud!
Great, great point of view!
Claire
N.B.: Is someone has "lost" a foot??? :-))
2nd N.B.: Erasing your entire gallery? I don't believe you! If that gallery has to be deleted again, let make "them" (mods or admins) do the dirty job again!

Oh boy(s)!
Almost frightening sight! Do they come to attack us? Even me, sitting comfortably in my chair, far away from Poland? Nah! With a simple pressing on the button of my screen, I can make them disappear. Phew! ;-)
70 mm, you were close, but just enough space to run away from them, if need be.
Seriously, a very good photo. The kind of photos that could be on a musical album. Might be a little tight on each sides (including the top side), but might have been the only option. I would "clean" a little here and there. For example, the light patch behind the ear of the guy on the back (left) and maybe the board over the head of the guy on the right.
Don't be put off by my nitpicks. It is an excellent photo!

Long time no see! :-)
...........
This is doing the same kind of feeling in me that I had the first time. It is like if my blood is turning cold. That wall that looks like prison bars (Ken's idea the first time)...
I had written "Me, an ignorant young (at the time!) Western, blessed by the God(s), woman... what can I write? I was living in a poor family in the 70s, but there was meat on our table. Ok, quite often the same meat, but meat nevertheless! And except in a somewhat black period of our history (the famous October crisis of 1970 in Quebec), the military vehicles and the soldiers were not a presence in the streets of my world. There was no big - giant - huge! - posters of our leaders, except maybe at elections time!
So, the only thing I can say about this photo is that it should go in the archives of the Humanity for being representative of this era, to express with not one word a world where only dogs could sh*t at the feet of the great leaders..."
I think the same even more.
Claire
N.B.: Just bought a used version of "L'archipel du Goulag" de Soljénitsyne (Solzhenitsyn)... In French, it is out of print since a long time... can you imagine?

:-)) You had terrific subjects!
Somehow, I wish we had only the two middle women here, one smiling at you and the other one seeming to not trust you. ;-)
There is definitively a charm to that photo. It makes me smile which is still a good thing!
Not a big fan of the big white frame for this one. I guess I am wishing to see them more.
..............
I've notice that you are leaving TE, for a while or for longer. Enjoy your new destination(s), your new exploration(s)!
