Nice capture....thought about taking a similar pic but standing that close to an oncoming train makes me queasy...:)

Well, well, well! That contemptuous little bike!

Looks as if the "work bike" is taking a rest.

Great caption to an interesting picture!

I don't get this picture at all. You state in the title that it is a crime scene but nothing in this picture tells us that. To me, the picture looks like a patch of dirt, littered with trash, and a substance that has the appearance of blood. This picture does not say anything about the culture or geography of El Salvador.

The girl has a very genuine smile on her face. Great picture!

This picture brought back memories for me...I at was stationed at Camp Bonifas from July 1996 - July 1997. This was a very common scene. Any time there was activity from us near the conference rooms, a squad of North Korean soldiers were dispatched. I participated in repatriations of some of our soldier's remains from the Korean War. To this day, I have not done anything that matches the sense of honor, pride, and sadness that comes from such an event. From what I understand, The Joint Security Area has been handed back to the ROK army as of 2006. It is unfortunate that younger generations of fellow U.S. soldiers will never have the opportunity that I had to serve at the JSA. To this day I use the UNCSB-JSA as a measuring stick of professionalism and unit cohesiveness...all units come up short.
I think a better picture would have included all the ROC soldiers at the "ready stance" behind all of the conference rooms. Maybe you did not have the opportunity to take such a picture while you were escorted through the conference rooms. At any rate this is a great picture and I thank you for the memories. "IN FRONT OF THEM ALL!"

Great photograph. This is vastly different than the bars in my hometown. It seems like a clean, relaxed, and congenial atmosphere. Always interesting to see how different cultures socialize.

The cathedral almost seems out of place with all the modern highrises around it. The shadows that are cast by the sunlight add to the charm of the photograph. Why did you not photograph the entire church? I'm guessing you did not have an optimal angle. At any rate, it is one of my favorite pictures out of the many you have posted.
