Hello Manuel,
The combination of the light, colors and composition makes this a surpassing shot, especially when the informative note is factored in. Regards from a very cold Virginia, where a 60 cm snow fall has blanketed the area.

Hello Ziggy,
A dreamy shot from the five weeks ago, with brilliant colors of drying leaves. But what makes the image especially appealing is the glow in the hazy background.
Warm regards from Virginia, where we've had 60 cm of snow during the past 24 hours.

Hello Lois,
Like a warm French baguette, your photo was shot and posted the same day. Of course, that's where the analogy ceases. This is anything but war! In Fredericksburg, Virginia we had 24 inches, and it is still snowing. The iridescent red sign makes a wonderful highlight, much like the chop mark on a Chinese painting.
Regards,

Hello Phil,
Your shot is quite astonishing. The light management that gives the moon a natural glow does not create a silhouette of the foreground. This is a monumental achievement. The textures in the hills is impressive, as is the compressed layer upon layer of hills.

Hello Nika,
With your signature blue frame this is a lovely shot of the old windmill, the frame genuinely setting off the subject and complementing the graduated blue of the sky. I see that it was shot last spring. It must be quite different in the winter.

Hello Dear Hercules,
I like this shot very much, with the light illuminating the way (so to speak). Some of the finest images of Turkey is coming from a patriot Greek. As a visitor, you have a wonderful sense for things that we take for granted. This is not surprising, the the native takes things for granted, and rarely captures the nuances. That is what I was thinking when, while visiting Rome, I captured “Moses and the Tablets”.
Warm regards, Hercules.

Hello Benny,
This is an excellent detail shot of the Vasa under difficult lighting conditions. The great German physicist, Werner Heisenberg, once said, "Never underestimate how much pleasure it gives a man to see/hear what he already knows." As a teenager I remember when the Vasa was featured int he National Geographic Magazine, and as a budding artist I did an oil painting of it. Subsequently, I visited the ship a couple of times, in 1990 and in 2002. It's a beautiful museum, befitting the historic and tragic content.
Warm regards,

Hello Murray,
Shot exactly six months ago, this photo is somewhat nostalgic — at the threshold of summer in the northern hemisphere. It is the ungodly hour of 5:24 am in the Eastern Coast of North America, I just woke up to look outside, and there is about 14 inches of snow (with twice as much expected). I just happened to visit TE when this lovely shot rolled in. Of course in Sydney, you are at the threshold of summer.
I have an invitation to visit Bangkok next July. I wonder if it would be practical to make a stop in Australia on the way?
Warm regards,

Hello Albrecht,
This is as good a depiction of Giambologna's great statue as I've seen anywhere, certainly comparable to the best art history books. The note is highly informative and well written. I am glad you cleaned up the background, presenting the great work of art as an isolated entity, devoid of electrical cables draped on walls. The great German physicist, Werner Heisenberg, once said, "Never underestimate how much pleasure it gives a man to see/hear what he already knows." Well, this gives me great pleasure, I have been in Florence many times, and I was in Tuscany just about the same time you took this photo.
Warm regards,
Bulent
