Hi,
Nice composition. Turkey did not invaded and occupied Cyprus.

Turkey is the one of the three guarantor countries (like Greece and UK) and came to Cyprus to save the lives of Turkish people that suffered from Greek fanatics and attacks that killed many Turkish people from 1960 to 1974.

The reason of the missing people is not only the war. The sides between Macarios and Grivas had problem between each other and many Greek people were killed by Grivas as well. Now it misguides that the reason of this missing people is the war.

Turkish people in Cyprus showed their intention about Cyprus in 2004 with the voting of UN Plan (Annan Plan). Turkish people said YES for peace and Greek side said NO.

Thanks for your sharing. I was born in Cyprus, and your photo is very meaningful for me because I know what the meaning of waiting for the peace is. Becasue I was born in Cyprus, at the isolated side of Cyprus, I mean in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. I know this isolation very well. It is very interesting that Turkish Cypriots are very peaceful people and as all Cypriots we had only a chance to live in peace in Cyprus 2 years ago by Annan Plan (UN plan). Both side, I mean Greek and Turkish Cypriots voted this plan at a referandum. We Turkish people vote as YES for the peace, and Greek side said NO because of Greek fanaticism.

What happend? Nothing. After this referandum Greek Cypriots became the member of EU as nothing happend, and we are still isolated, and what I know, we are deceived. Because we showed that we are the side that wanted peace by this referandum, but EU acceted a problematic country as a member and accepted the side that refused the peace in its country.

merhaba,
karenizi çok yeni görüyorum. açıkcası trekearth 'de orta doğu ile ilgili araştırma yaparken sizin karenizi gördüm.

çok etkilendim. gözlerin kattığı ifade, ellerin duruşu...çok anlamlı. tebrik ederim. böyle bir kareyi çekmek isterdim.

Merhaba İzzet hocam,
Öncelikle bir Kıbrıslı olarak fotoğrafınız beni farklı etkiledi. Özlemim, hasretim yoğunlaştı. Açıkcası Kıbrıs 'da çok fotoğraf çektim ama Kıbrıs insanına ait bu kadar doğal ve sıcak bir fotoğraf yok bende. İzzet hocam gerçekten üstadsınız. Gezdiğiniz yerleri tam anlamıyla ve karakteri ile fotoğrafın estetik boyutunu çok iyi harmanladığınızı düşünüyorum. Tüm saygı ve sevgilerimi sunarım.
