Hi Artesia:
Very nice one here. Not your typical Laguna Miniques shot at all. Chile's on my list of places to visit--I lived in Santiago for two years, but never got to see the rest of the country. Too busy and no money when I lived there. :( Someday.
Your composition is very good here, with the three hikers off to the right. I like the inclusion of people, as it gives a sense of scale to this vast wilderness.
Thanks for sharing.

Hi Artesia:
Really nice one. I haven't seen this perspective of the Helen Lake trail before, so it's great to see. I love those mountains in the distance rising one on top of the other like enormous rock waves, but in particular I really love the inclusion of your friend sitting there and surveying the scene. Gives a great sense of vastness and aloneness.
A couple of things I would change. There seems to be a bit of noise in the picture, and at the same time the picture isn't particularly sharp. I would imagine the noise comes from an attempt to use the unsharp mask because the image was initially soft, am I correct? If so, there's nothing that can be done of course. If the noise comes from a high ISO, I'd try to remove some of it in Photoshop and then use the unsharp mask. Just a suggestion. But that's me nit-picking. Grey days it's hard to come up with something nice, but you've done it here. Great job.

Hi Gerald:
Dang! This is a nice image. The combination of the telephoto and the large aperture (or so it appears) really give this picture a feeling of actually being at the front of a freight train as it rumbles through BC. You guys are really lucky with your fall foliage up there. I'm surprised it took you this long to post such a beauty--this may be one of the best I've seen you post.
Great job.

Hi Gerald:
This is really fabulous. The dusty conditions were perfect for a shot like this. And I think your composition is also excellent. The convergence point of the light beams is just off center, which works very well. Great job, I'm really jealous.

Hi Paul:
I think the composition works quite well, actually. The castle fills up that open spot of sky perfectly, and I like the title. The image seems a little on the light side (but of course I like darker, more saturated images), and it could use a bit more warmth, but otherwise it's a great shot. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Paul:
Moraine Lake is actually in Alberta, though it's right on the border with BC. There is a lot that I really like about this shot. First, the inclusion of the person near the bottom of the frame is genius--don't know if it was intentional, but it's great because it gives such a sense of scale. It's hard to get a feel for how massive these mountains are until you've actually been there--I remember being blown away.
Another thing that's great is the composition in general, and then of course that fantastic and near-perfect reflection. Here's my only complaint--the picture is very dull color-wise, with a distinct blue-green color cast (and I'm not just talking about the water, haha). It almost seems like it's been overworked in PS. It may just be my monitor, but that's my take on it.
But otherwise, such a great shot, and well worth posting. Thanks for sharing--makes me wish I were in Alberta right now.

Hi Andre:
One of the best I've seen of this fantastic place. The closeup was a good choice. What marvelous light and clouds. Wonderful shot.

Hola Rafael:
