Brilliant work Bettina! You've literally captured an atmospheric shot here. Others may have been inclined to put away there camera with the weather as such but I'm glad you didn't. What a unique looking image. All the little details like the American flag are well seen.

Hello Isabela! As a new father this is one I can certainly appreciated. My 2 month old has yet to find his fingers, what a delight it will be when he does.
About the photo, the B&W conversion is quite good and the striped shirt lent itself perfectly to it. The details are very sharp and the DOF just right.
Well done!

Greetings Angel! Your rendition of the artwork is very well crafted. You captured it under very good light allowing us to see the texture in the tiles. The color capture is very warm and the details very, very clear. The black frame compliments the image very nicely too.
Well done!

Hello John! Very strong layered composition with distinct foreground and background areas. Those grave stones are chock full of character and really set the stage well for the looming abbey ruins. Nice light management and sharp details.

Hello Kathy, wonderful composition but that reflection by itself really steals the show here. That wonderful soft dreamy blur of color is well captured. The fallen leaves in the lower right corner are well placed.
I experienced this fickleness myself in 2005 when I painstakenly planned a trip to Vermont in mid-October, I had carefully researched where to be when, and then the leaves just didn't cooperate. In an average year (if that exists) I would have been able to head south or north from central Vermont and be guarenteed to get great color, but not that year.
Guess you have to recognize when the conditions are good a particular year and take advantage of them like you did here.

Greetings Jose! Wonderful capture, the late evening light is full of color. Those ridges in the distance are well seen and nice idea to use the reflected highlights of the sun itself as a compositional element on the right. And the boat is well places as well. My only minor criticism is I wish the great shape of the boat did not blend into the hills so much, but that is very minor.
Well done!

Greetings Thomas! Your tight framing produces a striking image and a fitting dedication. The details are very sharp which can sometimes be tricky on these extreme closeup. The B&W works perfectly for setting the mood.
Well done!
