An excellent photo to show the life of the hard working porters of Nepal. I have been to Nepal but I have never before seen a load as awkward as this. I have heard of refrigerators being carried. The contrast between the well dressed trekker beside him is enormous. I am adding this to my theme. A very much worthwhile contribution to TE. Tfs, Marlene

I walked along the track you took this photo from just last month - between Dingboche and Lobuche. Then on the return journey we passed through Pheriche. Pheriche at the bottom of the valley was bitterly cold. An informative photo showing many details of this far away and high location. Your photo brings back memories. Tfs, Marlene
