Very interesting photo Roberto!
Nice echo in the photo from garden to cityscape.
Just as Los Angeles spreads from small, compact houses and sprouts into skyscrapers in the distance, so does the garden, with compact cacti dotted in the foreground lending towards tall succulents sprouting in the background.
Good eye! -K

Wow! This shot really brings me back! Is this along the railway? I can recall as a child (7yrs old) taking the train from Chihuahua to Los Mochis along this most spectacular ride ever. I had forgotten that memory. Thanks Dave! -K

Ciao Giorgio!
Because of the poor economy, we can't visit Italy this year, but this shot (and all of your fantastic portfolio) take us there instantly!
The warmth of the day, the sound of the moto, the life of the city are all very vivid. Good eye, good composition...quality is fine (at 800 pixels, who can tell?).
Thanks for sharing! -K

Hello Kirill,
This is one of my favorite photos of yours.
You can look at it a long time and the photo tells you stories, about the woman's life before and after moving to Paris; about her son's life growing up in, and only knowing Paris; about the attraction/identification with the west of one generation and indifference of the other.
It is a scene that few people have the luck to notice, and fewer still have the presence of mind to shoot.

Frederic,
I just stumbled on your world of photos through this one. All of your photos are amazing and show what photography can be. This photo (like many of the rest in your portfolio) reveals a hidden, briefly glimpsed element of truth. Not wholly comprehended. Suggestive. Many of your shots seem referential (like your earlier shot "Le Grand Ecart" reminds me of Cartier-Bresson's "Behind the Saint-Lazare station, Paris" but updated to a more contemporary moment). Others, like "Dans sa bulle" are completely new (to me).
Anyway, really good body of work. Please keep building what you are working on here!

Kostas, great use of both ND's, and a great addition to your "Thalassa" theme. So often I see ND filters used with black and white to lend an eerie calm and isolation (David Fokos-style), but here you make the sea seem more alive and inviting somehow, perhaps by brightening the foreground as well. Very cool.

Really great, Alan! Growing up on a ranch in New Mexico I've captured this shot many times in memory, but never on film.
I like that dragging the shutter speed to 1/30 softened the shot a bit and limited your depth of field to the subjects (though still f/6.3!).
