Hi Paul, you captured his spectacular head-dress with great shrpness, and you were also lucky to have good light to help bring out the shadows and textures. The interesting background curtains (?) add atmsophere to the shot. Nice one!

Hi Wanda, I had to choose between 'Colour me Red' and this one as my favourite of your most recent postings, but the graphic qualities and the fabulous colour of this shot won me over. An interesting backstreet scene, well-captured. There is so much to delight the eye in this part of the world (I live in Myanmar now) that almost every scene has some photographic potential.

Hi Brenda, what an interesting image, with a great reflection off the table. This Buddha is so different to the ones we see here in Myanmar, but its effect is as serene as ever. Well done on recognizing the photographic potential in this scene, and capturing it so well.

Hi Andre, what a classic portrait shot. He has such an expressive face, and he obliged you by providing the pivotal moment for you to snap the photo. The blue wall behind him contributes great mood and atmosphere to the image (as does the bright red blanket). Great work!

(P.S. After 24 hours, only 25 views and one critique for this shot?! What is TE coming to?)

Hi Peter, I like all your recent postings, esp. Peace and Quiet and Lady Musgrave, but what sets this one apart is the brooding sense of drama, with the fragile white boat juxtaposed against a faintly ominous sky. Great shot.

Hi Jusni,
This is a great portarit shot, but what I like most about it is the blurred, colourful background. It seems to complement her cheerful expression. Great sharpness, and an all-round impressive composition.

Great shot Gert, I like the layered background, bringing out the mundane detail of their lives: the washing, rugs hanging out, new breeze block houses going up...in fact, it reminds me very much of life in a Turkish town. You've made good use of the excellent light to capture a pleasant everyday scene (despite the obvious hardships).

Hi Brian, what a fine shot, making the best possible use of the late afternoon glow. I like how it brings out the colour of the flags, juxtaposed for even greater effect against the stone church. Taken at any other time of day, this would have been ordinary, but the superb light brings out the magic in this scene.

Hi Francine, this is a great b & w portrait of the Rom in their natural environment. The matriarch has a great expression of warmth and dignity. A pity you cropped the man's foot though, it bothers me a little. Otherwise, it's an excellent shot with so much interesting detail to hold the eye.

Hi Ney, while I like all your recent postings, this one is my favourite. There's a visually pleasing and to my eye at least, unusual combination of elements in the snow, water and mountain.
Good work.
