Hi Marlene,
I love your 1970s series. I will check all of them coming weekend. Panama is on my want-to-see list (which country isn't?) but Syria is higher on that list. I like the Middle East, I feel at home there and the ME countries I have visited, local people thought I was from there.
Years ago I flew from Amsterdam via Prague to Beirut. In the plane almost all people from Syria. I was the 'stranger' in the plane. The guy next to me asked: "where are you going?" Me: "I'm about to run the Beirut marathon". We started chatting. This was right after the Hariri bombing. Then suddenly I asked: "How's the relationship now between people from Syria and Lebanon." He looked at me thinking, you are too far from this conflict, you don't understand and said: "You must just run, it is not of your concern.". The conversation stopped. Walking out of the plane, he wished me good luck for the race.
I like what you've done to the verhicles and people. TFS, Gilbert

Hi Paul,
This one is so clear. Excellent sharpness and detail in the mountains and it's so clear. Punchy colors without going overboard. I would saturate the sky more. I though the red house, which has a good position in the frame, was typically Swedish but I guess the whole of Scandinavia has them. Did I mention the image is clear? :) TFS, Gilbert

Hi Paul,
Many thing to like about this one. First of all the depth and then the contrast between the clinic(?!) cleaness of the archticture and its colors against the colorful parasols. The last thing that catches my eye is that there is no distortion. Straight lines on the side and the bottom and that from a big zoom. Was it digitally corrected?? :) Excellent image! TFS, Gilbert

Hi Radji,
Great image. It breaths space and freedom and I can almost smell the fresh air. I love these kind of environments. I live in a very densly populated area. TFS, Gilbert

Hi Raji,
Good contrast and sharpness! Detailed mountains and lovely sky. You parents look like nice, I must take more pictures of my folks together. What kind of car is it? Is it a Honda?

Hi Marlene,
Fantastic image, I love the angle. Great detail in the picture but I''m not so sure about the colors. I guess I'm more used to digital colors. :)
I just came back from Egypt and the bus went from awful Hughada to Cairo not far from Suez. Unfortunatly I didn't have time to visit the canal so I must go back soon. I would ofcourse love to see Panama canal too. TFS, Gilbert

You know this will attract al lot of Milan fans... and I'm one of them. :)
When you see someone wearing a footbal shirt far, far away from its source, you understand how strong the sport is. Please see the workshop for my version. This was taken in the desert in Oman. Inzaghi and Owen where playing there. I exchanged my authentic Feyenoord shirt once with a kid in Lebanon. I got a crappy shirt in return but the smile he gave me when exchanging was priceless. TFS, Gilbert
BTW: Sheva will again be a scoring machine next season.

Hi Gunnar,
What a sad post. Fishies gones, camera maker gone. The building keeps the name somewhat alive. I've seen an article on The Luminous Landscape about the rise and fall of the old camera industry. Maybach came back too. But than again, I think the car industry will go the same route as the old camera industry in the next decade. TFS, Gilbert

Hi Gunnar,
Excellent shot! The girl pops out in this picture and gives the picture depth and clearly shows how immense the canyon is. Keep it up! Gilbert

Hi Kristaps,
Yeh I would probably let it pass and than try to catch on. :)
I really, *REALLY* love the gun-metal paint on this thing. I like going to car shows too. Just to see what I'm going to buy 'later'. When is later? When is it my turn to buy a supercar? If I could choose any car, regardless... I now would choose a 350Z. Yeh, that fits me now. But they don't sell it in gun-metal black. TFS, Gilbert [great notes!]
