G'day Pete!
When I first saw the title 'Relics of the Past', I thought to myself he's done a self-portrait. But then, knowing what a shy & modest fella you are, I knew that couldn't be true! This is a very different submission from your usual stuff, but nonetheless very nicely crafted, the subject matter is interesting, and the lighting is spot on: my compliments, Master!
Cheers,
Jeff

G'day Wallsy!
So you do know how to use this lens, eh? I was beginning to think you might need some help!! I'd say Charm did you a REAL favour by getting this for your Xmas present - leave it on the D90 more often, please!
Composition & sharpness are spot on, and you've captured a typical Aussie sky, beautifully reflected. I may do a workshop on this one, just to perhaps get some discussions happening on a different rendering - watch this space!
Best wishes,
Jeff

G'day Ian,
Great colours, sharpness & composition in this capture: those people would either be Irish or Aussies, right!!! I've noticed a big change (respectfully read 'improvement') in your postings, Ian - keep up the good work.
Best wishes,
Jeff

Hi Gerald,
This looks familiar - somewhere along the CPR line between Banff and Kamloops, perhaps? Like you, the Fall is my favourite time of year in Canada, and you have captured a great image & colours in this shot - my compliments!
Best wishes,
Jeff

G'day Ian!
Beautiful Andalusia - one of the few areas I missed out on visiting 40 years ago, when we used to holiday in Spain regularly. And now your great images are reminding me I should perhaps make the effort to see it all again. You've captured the essence of Spain in this scene - well done. Only one minor comment: maybe a polarizing filter would've enhanced this pic and others - try evaluating Nik Color Efex Pro (https://www.niksoftware.com/site/)
Best wishes,
Jeff

G'day Andrew!
They're irresistible, these birds, aren't they? This one has a distinctly pinkish hue in that huge bill - probably a rush of blood from being in that position! You also managed to give us a good view of the local fishing fleet in the background: did you have your obligatory 'fish & chips' from either the Kailis or Cicerello's eateries??
Best wishes,
Jeff

G'day Andrew,
A lovely and distinctively-French ambiance in this shot, mate: the accordion-player, terraced houses, cobblestones, boats, etc. And I'm sure you found a nearby bistro and quaffed a good bottle of red wine in that afternoon sun, too! You were lucky indeed to visit such a place - and thanks for sharing the moment with us.
Best wishes,
Jeff

G'day John,
I was wondering if any shots from that bleak day would make your gallery! The best time for this location is 1st light on a summer's day - I should've woken you earlier! Next time, eh? One thing I'll be eternally grateful to you for is getting me onto my D200 - just a great piece of kit. And now you'll probably convince me to go to the D300, too! You made the best you could out of this shot, thanks for the memories.
Best wishes,
Jeff
