Hi Steve,
It has been long since the last time I logged on to trekearth.com. I am in Maryland this week on a business travel and I am sending this message during a meeting break. I arrived DC area on Monday, 4/16. As soon as I arrived, I heard VT massacre news, I thought about all Hokies, and I thought about you.
In our meeting, a colleague gave presentation was wearing a button in VT color in memory of the victims at VT yesterday. He told me that he was in a memorial event back to VT the day before. I’d like to let you know that all Americans, as well as all Hokies are shocked by this terrible incidence. I hope we all will be recovered from the sorrow, the shock and the sadness.
Thank you for posting this photo here in showing us the beautiful campus and the excellent education provided from this famous school. This provide us an opportunity to express our sad felling in this forum.
I am working more than 10 hours a day in these few days during my stay in DC area. I did not find any chance to contact you, although I have been thinking about the possibility all the time. I am keeping absence from trekearth.com because I have not been able to make a meaningful contribution due to my time limit. I am still trying to find time to come back in a near future.
I am touched by a quote of VT professor Nikki Giovanni from www.vt.com: "We will continue to invent the future through our blood and tears and through all our sadness ... We are the Hokies ..."
Best wishes and keep in touch.
Wes

Hi Pablo, A beautiful postcard quality shot. You had well chosen the right time and right angle for this shot. An impressive nice and clear contrast between the architecture and the dark blue sky. A well composed and well taken picture.

Hi John, A nice paint-like shot. I like the way you use the light and the layers of views in this picture. Good to include the road and the persons in this picture to add the life to this quiet and peaceful scene. Well done.

Hi Mae, welcome back and thank for the beautiful photo you have posted here. A well composed picture with the winding road lead us through this scenery valley. The green plants well contrasted the water fall, the river and the snow patches. It would be perfect if the sky is cooperative to add some blue colors.

Hi David, An impressive shot of the mystic and unknown mood in this picture. It looks that the storm may be coming. There are more questions than answers to this bare foot person in the picture. Nice light contrasts and a well taken picture.

Hi Lars, An impressive shot to this aerial view over the city. This picture made me feel that I am in legoland with all the houses as reduced sizes. You have well shown the red roof and green trees well decorated city in this picture. Well done.
