    Hi Daniel
its so funny that you post this subject, I actually remember it well because I was trying to photograph the window shutters.
love the brilliant blue sky contrasting with the yellows and greens, colors that mix together so smartly. fine shot, excellent exposure and sharpness as usual. cheers

    Hi Rob
what the heck is going on here? Let me read the note. so these are mannequin's right? that's what I understand from the note, I guess i'm not 100% confident because they look so real, like a real person in costume and posing. I would never expect to see this from Reykjavik, you certainly succeeded in finding something unique to photograph! well done. cheers

    Hi Jimmy
yellow huh? interesting choice, one which I wouldn't have even thought of. but i guess it created the best contrast with the Herring, to make it pop and stand out as an almost silhouette. It worked out pretty well, who'd have known! cheers

    Hi Carlo
It doesn't look like the man is taking a photo of the building on the rock, maybe he did so already and he's checking it out on his phone. I'm sure your photo here is much better than the one he has taken. Including him in your shot gives a perfect fg and bg separation. excellent subject too. cheers

    Hi Stephen
once again, the wide angle comes into play. What would you do without this lens now, right? haha. Nice to see the view from side to side, glad you got the blue paint into the frame on the right, and then the opposite side for red. lots of depth too. nice one. cheers

    Hi Jean
when you said there are 2 more photos in the WS, i was expecting to see 2 shots of the abandoned boat haha, but I was very wrong :) the boat looks to be in need a a power wash, very badly, but thats what also gives it charm and history. Not only that, but the mystery of his history is still needing to be told. love it, more abandoned subjects please :)

    Hi Angel
my goodness, look at these buildings. You won't find anything like this here in Canada :) Not only the style, but the colors are attractive and eye catching too. Look at the edges of the buildings, they're not straight, so that gives it so much charm. great to have the blue sky to contrast the yellows, which always blend well. cheers

looking at all your shots, you're really making me want to go hiking. hard to tell from this far away, but if we look in the middle of the frame, is that a trail leading up the to the top of the mountain? I'd try hiking it :) dramatic views, looks great all the way, nice combo of light and shadows. cheers

i loved taking these shots when I was in Poland as well, so many buildings look like this. and you're right, this could easily fit into Adramad's gallery as well. love the way the stone looks so old and aged, that's what gives it so much character, and nice to have the woman in the window. love the door too, that's quite the door!!!! cheers

I was thinking to myself how this is such a popular spot, but then i found out from your note that this is a fishing competition! did you walk your grandson down here as well? I'm sure it would be a great learning experience for him too. make it a family day :) The photo with the bridge is my favorite. excellent shots of the daily activity of the local people

    Hi John
I have to say, the BETA versions really do stand out well don't they, just as they have done in your other posts - I always view them. its impressive to see how well a photo can turn out even in such poor weather. do you use an umbrella to block the rain drops? There are several local hikes here in Vancouver, well, about a 2 hour drive outside of Van, where you can get views like this all the time. I once camped out overnight in a location like this, a couple of years back. anyways, really enjoyable photograph to view, and good on ya to go up here in the drizzle, well worth it right! cheers

yes, I remember this. But to be honest, I never really thought about taking a close up photo of it as you have done here. your choice was the right one :) I think I was too busy trying to find a unique composition for the bridge! again, this is awesome. thanks so much for the comment in the note, this is totally my style of subject :) love the look of its abandonment. it comes through so well. another piece of awesome Chicago architecture. well done . cheers

    Hi Sergio
Well, I guess you can say I have learned something new today, I didn't know this about your country Colombia. It really does pay off to write an informative note. Excellent job there. and I have never heard of a lilium flower, but then again I don't know much about flowers in general. the shot works so well because of the complete opposite color schemes. it packs a visual punch! cheers
