To Noel_Byrne: Nyaung U Market

Thank you, Noel.
I always find Asian markets to be so active and colourful, so they make great photos.

To CLODO: The Leg-Rower

Hi CLODO

Thank you for your WS.
I wish the rower in the foreground had been more in focus, but I had difficulty taking the picture from my fast-moving boat and with a zoom lens. How did you...

To dkmurphys: Mandalay Reflection

Thank you, Daniel. Obviously, I was fortunate to have such favourable conditions and still water at the time of the photo.

To Noel_Byrne: Golden Palace Monastery

Hi Noel. Thanks for your comments. I very rarely change the colour in my photos ... I like to keep the photo "pure" as much as possible, going back to the time when I used to use film. This...

To GFSSD-1: Dhammayangyi Temple

Interesting workshop. The colours seem a little unnatural, but it works well as an impressionistic picture, almost like a painting.

Marty

To GFSSD-1: The Tree And The Temple

Thank you. It seemed as if the tree was almost framing the temple on purpose.

To janneman: The Tree And The Temple

Thank you, Jan. This was my 18th visit to Burma. Did you see the same point of view when you were there, around the left side of the temple?

Marty

Thank you, Jan. I also thought it looked dramatic as I watched the storm approaching me.

To Noel_Byrne: Reed Flute Cave

Thank you, Noel. I found that using a flash in the cave dilutes the colours projected onto the rock formations. So I just tried to lean against a rock to steady my camera while taking the photo,...

To EstudioChispa: Hong Kong Harbour at Dusk

Thank you, Russ ... however, as you know the success or failure of a photo often depends to some degree on a little bit of luck and timing.

To startacked: Hong Kong Harbour at Dusk

I don't recall seeing a screen on top of the boat, but now I can't remember for sure. I think it may have only been a billboard, reflecting the light.

To Ilducabianco: "Fields Of Shan State" workshop

Hi Alessio,

I'm not too familiar with those workshop tools, other than cropping, as I don't have Photoshop. I did want to keep the horizon in my photo, so you can see the growing haziness in the...

To leo61: Burma trip

Hi Leo!
Enjoy your trip to Burma. While you are at Inle Lake, I recommend visiting the temple complex at Indein, if you have not already been there.
I also plan to return to Burma, maybe in...

Hi Leo.
I shot this picture while riding in a horsecart. Although the driver slowed down for me to take this photo, I didn't have the optimum opportunity to frame the shot as well as I may have...

To macondo: Crossing the U-Bein Bridge

Hi Andrew,
I agree that it would have been better if the lead cyclist had been sharper; however the cyclists were quickly approaching so I snapped in a hurry and moved out of the way. It seems they...
