Wheel

Hi Maloutom

I am thinking the wheel like object in the fg at left might be an ornate lamppost in the style of this one.

To holmertz: Colapesce

Hi Gert

Colapesce and the 3 legs and snakes where the hair would be are the clues in the image. Notice too one snake is larger and appears where the 3rd leg normally would be on the Sicilian...

Göbekli Tepe

Hi Bev / Gert

Predating both Rome and Mohenjo-daro by a longshot is the city of Gobekli Tepi in eastern Turkey. It is an incredible 12k years old! (10,000 years BCE). I've been there but didn't...

To holmertz: Filter

Hi Gert

You're astute! I've used a graduated filter in photoshop with a large feather margin. It magnified the saturation. I've also gone in and added more highlights after the filter was...

To mcmtanyel: Photoshop programs

Hi Murat

I now use Picasa3 (which has a great easy to use tilt correction and excellent fill light function for underexposed shadows and mid tones) then I switch to PhotoFiltre7 for fine tuning,...

Hi Craig

There is no temple at Wadi Rum that I know of. I was the only one in the tent that I had, but they have 3-4 beds for family groups. Food was included in the price but like most of North...

To ifege: Elevation

Hi Ian

The sky is natural. Sinaia is 880 metres above sea level and far from any factories or heavy traffic that produce smog. Have a look at images of high elevation places like La Paz, Kunming,...

To serp2000: Cpf

Hi Serghei

I may have used the Circular Polarizing Filter to enhance the reflections in the water, but more often than not I remove the cpf for most blue hour and nocturnal shots because 5...

If you ask Viviane nicely what the problem is, she might be agreeable to reinstate your deleted photo if some conditions are met. Sometimes you just need to express something in your own...

To jmdias: Merzouga

Hi Jorge

Erg Chebbi is at Merzouga so it probably is the same place. 'Erg' is Moroccan for sand, and that big red sand hill is Erg Chebbi just east of Merzouga.

Spectators of Old

Hi Bev

I couldn't find my shot which I loaded to FB in 2013 but did find this. Notice the fg man making rude signs.

Hi Kari

Taken with a 200 mm lens using auto focus. Now I focus manually because I can't rely on pin sharp images using auto-focus. Possibly a bit of camera shake as well that has been magnified...
