Re: TE meeting Liege - Marché de Noël - dimanche 21 décembre

What a good idea. I hope you will have a clear sky on Sunday. Unfortunately, I won't be able to join in. Maybe next time.
I hope all of you will have a great Christmas and best wishes for 2009!

To peterd: tilt

Hello Peter,

Thanks for your critique. The light was so intense that day, that the college itself was indeed overexposed. By adding some sharpness and a noise filter, I could reduce this somewhat...

To MarianneS: The soldier's glance

Hello Marianne,

Thanks for this critique. To me, this soldier is clearly thinking about something. I interpreted this as reflecting on the horrors of the war, but it could be something else of...

To MarianneS: thanks for the comments

Hi Marianne,

I remember running to catch this view. This was the only one I took without you and Muriel on it. I agree that I should tilt the photo a little to the right to straighten the horizon....

Dear Marine-Coeur,

Thanks for your positive comments. I've just had a look at your photos; they are wonderful. Reflections and light are handled very well in many of your shots. Great stuff!

To MarianneS: Sharpness?

Hello Marianne,

Thanks for the feedback. Adding more sharpness in Photoshop causes distortion; that's why I have decided to leave it as it is now.

Kind regards,

Bert

To MarianneS: POV

Hi Marianne,

Thanks for your comments. Possibly, I could hav chosen a lower POV, but at that time I didn't have a clue about such things. Again, it was taken with my old digital camera...
Thanks...

To MarianneS: Feet in the water?

Hello again,

My feet were not in the water. I agree it could have been taken a little more from the left. I guess I would have stayed dry ;-)
Thanks again for the comments.

Best wishes,

Bert

Re: To MarianneS: extra sharpness?

Hello Marianne

Your workshop certainly added sharpness to the surface of the water. That looks much better in your version. But I'm still a little anxious about the boy... His back looks as if...

To MarianneS: extra sharpness?

Hi Marianne,

I tried to add some sharpness, but then I noticed that the edges of the boy's body became very unnatural. That's why I decided to leave the photograph as it was. Maybe you can try in...
