I feel there is a little too much in this picture, even though the frozen sea is a difficult subject. the red hat is a welcome spot of colour with the otherwise muted palette. I think you do need to get your horizon absolutely level with this kind of subject (I often find myself adjusting with 0.25 degrees or something, but it always looks better). maybe its an improvement to just crop out the ship? I think I will try

your're are right. your crop and readjustment gave a different "athmosphere" tothe picture, maybe, maybe much more interesting, with the lady and her red hat as the central and different spot! I really like it.

the purpose of the picture was, however, to catch the "complete" scenario: the frozen sea, the giant boat (which looks like a sky scrapper, comparing to the small buildings on the right side) and obviously, the lady with the red hat )
