What colour! Amazing that you were able to get so close to it! It almost looks fake! Waht a good idea, taking the day off work!

Default To joelvoortman83: Well I did use my big zoom

lens, and they are quite used to humans and interested since many buy small cups of fruit juice with the birds love to drink. They are goregous birds.

Yes they really are! Reminds me also of the rainbow lorikeets (bad spelling!) we have in Australia!

Default I'm sure that is exactly what they

are, Rainbow Lorikeets. Not sure of the spelling either. They even had a bright red one at the zoo that was quite pretty and one that was mostly brown and yellow.
