I have followed this thread with much interest and have to agree with the view that sometimes one has to think a little more broadly when dealing with certain situations. In a situation such as the one we discuss here, we have to look at the posts in context. As Chris says perhaps the posters were students, perhaps they have been unable to reply (for who knows what reasons) to the queries from the mods. Was the decision to disable the accounts made by one person (a huge burden) or by a panel who were able to discuss the pros and cons? A little sensitivity can go a long way and I agree TE is a platform where one should be able to learn about the world in ALL its gore and glory.
