Great tyro 2017-11-10 8:25

Hello Ike,

This is an amazingly clear, sharp and detailed photograph, perfectly exposed and with lovely light and colours.

To me it seems amazing that such a beautifully clean beach with pale golden sands could be so close to a major commercial port but here it is - beautiful! :) You have composed this shot very well and I like how the curved walkway makes a fine foreground feature - presumably placed there for people like me who don't like getting sand in their shoes! And the two ladies on the walkway hold the whole composition together very effectively.

An interesting note too.

Kind Regards,

Thumbs up To tyro: Beach and port

Hello John,
As I explained to Eric, the prevailing sea currents in the eastern Mediterranean and especially in Israel's shores are from south-west due north. So, the port location is well off to the north of the seashore.
Indeed, I was surprised with the clean beach, the local municipality take good care about it, we saw a tractor constantly plowed the golden sand, a real treasure.
Thanks and good evening,
