Hello Paul,
This is one of the (many) places I have missed in India (the country is too big). It really looks beautiful. Indian women anywhere will brighten any photo, but in this case the strange hill of huge boulders also provides a strong focal-point. And then of course these unusual boats give the photo a very special character. I have seen similar ones in Vietnambut never anywhere else. I had no idea they could be found in India. The three photos are all good, but comparing them I get a feeling that the smartphone isn't quite up to the quality of your ordinary camera.

Default To holmertz: Coracle reed boats

The first time I heard of "Coracles" or "Curraghs" was in Ireland where they really consider them as THEIR traditional boat.
Here is a link which might be of interest.
We know that there widely used by the Celts and that those people originally came from the Indian sub-continent.
