Great Royaldevon 2019-12-08 2:37

Hello Jean,

This is a beautiful, festive shot.
Taking this close-up, rather than the whole tree has encouraged close inspection of the decorative gingerbread men, such interesting and unusual decorations! They seem to be different in style and decorations. I wonder if they have been specially made.

My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Thank you Beverley for your kind comments.
At Buckland Abbey, there are a group of ladies who are very skilled at needlework, primarily making period costumes
for special events etc., I believe that they made these delightful gingerbread men.
There were other decorations in the Abbey, that were made from fabric and wool, which I might share at a later date.
And my guess is that the same ladies were responsible for these too.

Kind regards, Jean.
