Great mkamionka 2018-03-11 11:54

Hi Paul,
this must be a very original point of view because I have seen so many pictures from this town and yet I completely don't remember seeing this place before. Fantastic light conditions!
I first thought this is a pond in the foreground, just after a while I realized this is a reflection in the car.
I like very much this place, there is so much going on here, I see a picturesque bridge further in the distance.
Excellent reportage from Bruges!!

Default To mkamionka: not as a daytrip

Thank you Mariusz,

If you like to visit Bruges, I advise not to make the mistake that many foreign visitors make.
Many tourists stay in a hotel in Brussels and visit Bruges as a day trip.
There's really a lot to see so you can spend several days in Bruges. Especially when you want to take photos from all angles.
I also think that the evenings there have a very different charm than in Brussels.

Only those who seek nightlife will not find much in Bruges.

Best regards,
Paul

Yes, one of the recent ideas I had is maybe to take a mini cruise to Brugges harbour instead of flying to Brussels...
Thank you for the suggestion.

Hi Mariusz,

It all depends of the numbers of days you can spend.
A very easy combination can be made with a visit of Ghent.
But also for Ghent I recommend to spend more than 1 day there.

Best wishes,
Paul

Ha ha
of course the more the better.
I first aimed at a week in Belgium with 2 days in Brussels, and day trips to Brugges, Ghent and Antwerp but when I saw the offer with the mini cruise I started to think again. The week for sightseeing beautiful cities may be a bit too much for my daughter which will certainly find it very boring. So if I really want to do something at all, the mini cruise may be an option with a 2 day stay in Brugge (practically one night since the boat comes from UK to Brugge overnight).
Anyway this year although I could do it from the holiday perspective,my budget is already quite stretched...
Let's hope for the next year
