Great Dpbours 2008-04-17 12:04

Hello Olivier,

A little bit of a haze over the fields, but that adds to a pleasant atmosphere. Dingle... Strangely enough that reminds me of... Doogle! Well, I have no idea if you know Doogle. If you're Irish, you should. Father Ted was a wonderful television series. I think I've seen all the DVD's twice. And Mrs. Doyle with her 'Go'on go'on go'on go'on!!'. .... Okay, I'll stop now, since you probably have no clue what I'm talking about here hahaha.
Very nice point of view and nice view of the valley.

Greetings, Dennis

PS: I'll add a workshop to see if I can de-haze the valley.

Default To Dpbours: De-haze the valley

Hi Dennis,

No I'm not Irish (I'd like to be anyway !) and I have no idea what Doogle is !
I love your workshop, you de-hazed the valley very well ! Could you explain to me how you achieved this ?

Thanks in advance,

Just out of the top of my head;

I started with an unsharp masking of +10, 40 pix radius, 0 treshold.

Then USM of 150, 0.3 pix radius, 0 treshold.
EDit - fade to lighter with 100% opacity.

Then USM of 80, 0.3 pix radius, 0 treshold.
Edit - fade to darker with 100% opacity.

After that a slight play with highlight and shadows. BUT, open the advanced settings, since you really can adjust a lot in the advanced settings. Give it a try.

And then a play with saturation and lightness per colour channel.

Oh, a pity you don't know Doogle. Have a look on the internet for Father Ted. A great series on Irish television with crazy humour.

Have a good weekend!
