Hello Ronald,
It is very surreal to see this cross on the edge of the sea. It is even more bizarre that coffins and headstones may actually disappear into the waves one day. I like the simplicity of this shot, with he foam barely reaching the bottom of the cross. It is an interesting and different subject.

I talked to a local nearby, he said that they believed that it is God's will that controls the weather and that if the sea washes the coffins away that it is the wish of of God that they return to the sea. This is a very small community of fishermen so maybe they feel some sort of deeper attachment to the ocean.
