Hello Martin,

I think most parents are okay about photographing their children, especially when they see you taking other shots, too.
I agree with you, the time lapse has given this shot something extra special. Our imagination adds the beginning and we are able to enjoy the wonderful sense of movement as the child descends, out of sight. The composition is spot on and the sharpness, in this narrow dof, impeccable.

I had never thought of hiring a lens. It will give you the experience you need to decide what to aim for next ... for birthdays or Christmas!

Thanks for your fine crit of this post, I was uncertain whether to post, as not being 'earthy' enough. But it pleased me, and it seems, others too.

try http://www.lensesforhire.co.uk/ they were brilliant, and not overly expensive..
