Hello Bev,
I remember this village from an earlier photo. It looks nice from this angle too, very neat and very well maintained. As a tourist I would have enjoyed the relative lack of visitors, as a photographer I would (as always) have appreciated some more crowds of locals. I have a feeling there is a "not" missing in this sentence from your note: "It is a main tourist area yet". As a tourist and photographer I would have loved this kind of weather and this light.
Kind regards,
Gert

Thank you for your critique, Gert.
It is a beautiful place. I'm surprised that there aren't more photographs of it on T.E. No, my description was correct. Perhaps I punctuated it in an unfamiliar way. It is a very popular tourist village and has won quite a number of awards. The reason that there weren't lots of figures around was possibly that the holiday season seems to finish in Northern France at the end of August. There were quite a number of tourists but most of them were gathered around the centre. Kind regards, Bev. ![]() |
