Photographer's Note

One of two cannons that stand on the harbour wall at Porthleven.

I have tried to discover a little more about their history, and the only suggestion is that they could possibly be from the shipwrecked frigate the Royal Navy HMS Anson 1807,in the December of that year, two years after the battle of Trafalgar. 100 lives were lost.

They are old!Just look at the weathering on them.

In the workshop another shot of the cannon,and the direcion that is pointing.
Also a scene of the curve of the harbour and the houses that stand high above.
