Kamianets-Podilskyi - Going to Disneyland

No Mickey Mouse or other Disney characters here.
But a real historic castle dating from the early 14th century. On the warm summer evenings it is illuminated in a way that makes you feel like you’re in a fairy tale.

During the day you can visit the former Ruthenian-Lithuanian castle that was also partly a Polish fortress and climb its seven towers.
It is located on the outskirts of the old town of Kamianets-Podilskyi and stands on top of a peninsula carved out by the winding Smotrych River.

Every evening the festive lighting attracts many visitors.
Although I had never heard of this town before I started preparing my trip to Ukraine, Kamianets-Podilskyi receives a fair number of tourists. But they’re almost all Ukrainian.

The beautiful old town has plenty of inexpensive hotels, guesthouses and restaurants.
BTW, there’s also a new town and most probably you will arrive there. Head as soon as possible to the old town and stay there until it’s time to go to your next destination.

PS: Not easy to take without tripod and nothing to place my camera on.
