Walking in the immensity Photo

Photographer’s Note

I took this picture on one of our daily trek in the beautiful desert of the Tadrart.

I was there exactly one year ago but it seems as it was yesterday. I hope I won't have to wait one more year to go to the desert again because I need the desert, its diversity, its silence, its (almost) virgin landscapes.

There are always surprises that are waiting for you. When you see the rocks like the ones on the background, you're wondering how long it will take to reach them because you know it will be time to have a break and to observe in silence the beauties around you.

Then, after a few minutes break, you have only one thing in mind, to continue walking and discovering what the desert has to offer and be surprised again and again...

That's the magic of the desert...

ce doit être vraiment magique ce désert.
J'aime bien le sable qui semble lessivé par le vent. Les personnages sont utiles pour l'échelle.

Belle image, integrer des personnages dans l'image est une bonne idée afin de donner une echelle. Jolies couleurs et belle composition. Je regrette seulement qu'il soit coupé.

The colors are stunning! The place is wonderful, everyting's beautiful. But why did you cut the man? Put him inside the compo or crop it! :-)

A very well conveyed photograph of the desert which gives us a feeling of the magic you describe. The composition, framing and exposure are well delivered and the figure on the right gives a good sense of scale. TFS

hello Emma, merci pour ton message, je t'ai répondu, ici une belle vue du désert avec le sable rouge qui fait rêver!!! je regrette que ton personnage soit trop décalé vers la droite et coupé, j'aurais aimé que nous le voyons un peu plus... mais une belle image en tout cas, merci

Another of your desert delicacy.Maybe it will be better if the person was moved a little more left.Not on just edge of photo.Or.Cut out.Anyway good photo,nice desert colours and depth of field.

tes photos sont vraiment bien ! Toujours bien cadrées, belles couleurs (mais de ce point de vue, encore une fois, y'a plus dur)... elles donnent vraiment envie de voir ces paysages par soit même.

Seul petit bémol, le personnage sur la droite aurait mérité d'être un peu plus dans la photo, ou carrément en dehors. Enfin, c'est mon petit avis, de petit photographe...
