I know exactly what you mean with "desert call" and being unable to remain silent. I've always felt like home in the deserts, and I can only regret that my photography skills were almost non-existant when we were in Sahara last February. still, I'm determined to visit as much deserts as I can in my lifetime.

as to the photo - simply stunning. amazing colours (some might say too saturates, but that's exactly how the sand looks), perfect shapes and textures. I love how the distinct pattern in the foreground gradually disappears, emphasising the scale of the scene, and how the textures contrast with the smooth dunes in the background. great shot, my favourite.

Hello Luca,

You have such a prize of a photo here. The colors of the sand are very rich and perfectly lit. I also like the lines the wind created in the foreground as well. Most desert scenes I see on TE don't have a blue sky with such dynamic clouds. Great capture.

Absolutely fantastic clarity and colours in this image. The desert dunes you've captured seem so untouched and perfect. I really like the textured sand in the foreground, and the blue sky along with it's white clouds, contrasts very well with the sand. Very well captured.

Hello Luca,

Very nice shot, both by the colors but also for the patterns in the sand disapperaing when the look is going to see the background. The clouds are filling nicely the sky.
Perhaps we will meet together in Mauritania, not sure as the desert is wide. I will go there November 25 for 3 weeks to do a hike between Adrar and Tagant. However, some photos will be surely exchange on TE.

What fantastic dunes. I especially like the sharp ripples in the sand and the colour, somewhat like in Australia. THe cloudy, blue sky gives a great atmsophere.
