Hi, George! Is this one up to your standards? Hope it is: there's no sky, you can see the cows, there's a better piece of the machette and the hand is not cut in 2...

I didn't advice you to clone out the boy's machette...! I asked you to clone out that 'something' sticking out behind his arm...
Now, as you've posted a different POV of this smiling African cutie - with the machette visible - I sound like an idiot asking for stupid things..???
Please, don't play by the TE traditions, firmly established against any possible logics by the bunch of the highly awarded and totally frustrated camera owners. Play honestly with me, please... Pretty please...

You have wrote passionatelly about the boys and their machettas things...
Good... It's true - I believe in every word of yours...

Errrr... Where is it...? Where is the machette ?

Oh, that thing under his arm..?

Well, it is there but, again...If you didn't mention that - how many of us would even noticed that thing in there ? Upper part of it looks like part of the sack on his back, and the bottom part looks like a wooden stick...
In other words: In your first photo ( the deepest bow possible for it) - the 'machette/something' in there is invisible, and in your second photo - you had to write about about so we can notice its presence, yet... You made the big fuss about it ?

Hi George, did you get my point? You are right! but imperfections are necessary to a picture as it is for a woman ;o)). The first one was the best one, more soul I'd say...

George avait raison avec ses critiques. Celle-ci n'a pas les défauts dont il parle mais la première avait plus d'âme que celle-ci... C'est comme avec les femmes ;o))

Wieder ein schönes Portrait dieses jungen,mit einem gelungenen Hintergrund.Der Junge sieht recht stolz und selbstbewußt aus.

a beautiful portrait, not easy to take with this difficult light conditions. The cow walking is a bonus that makes the scene vivid.

je n'ai certainement pas tout compris,car si c'était le cas,je devrais trouver 3 photos de ce petit garçon,hors,je n'en vois que 2!En avais-tu suprimé une pour la remplacer par une autre ayant des critères répondant mieux aux idées de George?
Quoiqu'il en soit,moi,je lui trouve une âme à cette photo,différente de l'âme de la précédente,mais bien présente quand même!Regarde le sourire,l'expression des yeux,regarde l'environnement,le chapeau, le collier,tout me parle dans cette photo et me raconte une histoire!Et j'adore le cadrage!

polonaise a son avis sur pas mal de choses, mais je ne partage pas tellement ses opinions qui restent intéressantes à lire
le bout de ciel, je le trouvais bien
la main coupée, il y a des cas où cette règle ne s'applique pas nécessairement
pas de doute, cette photo est réussie, mais si tu aimes les critiques sur des points mineurs: je couperais peut-être un peu en haut (en essayant je serais peut-être moins sûr, juste une idée)

Bonjour Marc,

Je ne suis pas certain de comprendre tous les meandres de ta note, mais ca va bien avec Polonaise ou la ligne droite n est pas forcement le chemin le plus rapide :-)
Difficile au final de te dire laquelle est la meilleure entre les photos de ce charmant vacher. Peut etre celle ou on le voit entierement debut avec le sourire: mais ca n engage que moi.

Hello marc
Un bon moment de complicité entre ce gamin et toi et cela donne un très portrait avec une lumière parfaitement gérée pour ne pas avoir d'ombre même sous le chapeau (un petit coup de flash?) La PDC est parfaitement pour juste suggérer le décor.
