"...we ventured into the market in Dantokpa, which was like diving head first into a cacophonous circus of color, chaos, and commodities. Women selling grilled rat called out to potential patrons while men peddled through crowded alleyways with dozens of live chickens tied to the handlebars, seats, and baskets of their old bicycles. Brilliantly colored pagnes of local fabric were displayed next to gaudy fake jewelry and pumpkin-sized bras...."

* In response to suggestions made by the TrekEarth community, I have reposted this image with greater dimensions. I also brought up the color saturation slightly and added a frame.

What a colorful shot showing a slice of life in Benin. The composition, colors and textures are all flawlessly presented. I read you 'overview' page, and found it impressive, just as I've found some of your photos.

Hello Brian,
A photo well presenting the hustle and bustle of the market in splendid colours.
I wonder if the photo would not be stronger by cropping part of the sky, just above the coca cola billboard.
