Perhaps I'll start by a note about the post-processing. The major thing I've done here is add a zoom blur to the background. I've had mixed reactions to some of my post-processed photos on here, and while I can't please everyone, I am trying to apply the feedback where possible.

Anyway, the post-processing is very delibrate here. I'm really hoping to create an atmosphere of unease, mystery & the 'super-natural' in this photo. After all, what you are looking at here is what the Beninese call an 'egungun.' Essentially, they are spirits that have returned to Earth from the hereafter.

In another photo, here, I give a brief description on Voodoo in Benin. Meanwhile, I hope you enjoy a view into a religious ceremony that is widely unknown (well, in my society anyway).
