Photographer’s Note
At the time of traveling, Burundi was still unstable. This Greek Orthodox church was empty for many years. Not long ago, the missionary came back from neighbour country Congo, starting their new preach here.
Burundi, after many years of civil war, has everything to restart. Daily direct buses from Rwanda to capital of Burundi, Bujumbura, pass through some poor villages. Soon you will notice curious and unwelcoming eyesights from villagers. Heavily guarded and protected Bujumbura has seen foreign investment slowly back. Within 2 days’ short visit, we have met quite a few foreigners coming for business, religious and humanitarian missions

Quite non-ortodox approach to the theme...
Your gallery seems to indicate a skilfull and far from being a standard - photographer...
Please, stay that way and try NOT to be influenced in any way by the TE' standards of photography.
My sincere appreciation upon your stuff...

Hello Michael,
It is interesting to see a Greek Orthodox church in Burundi! I wouldn't have thought there is an Orthodox community there. The architecture is nice, and I like the symmetry of the priest standing between the four other men.

Hey Mankeung! I saw your photo, and thought this might be the guy I'd run into time after time in Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia! I'm Andy, from Taiwan. So where are you and Sochun now? Are you still on the road, or have you finished and gone back to HKG? Miss you both! You must have had loads of stories to tell; love to see more of your photo stories!
