Well, she didn't get that bottle but I made sure that she got "a" water bottle. Kids all over West Africa go crazy for empty plastic bottles and cans. To the point that you have to very careful where, how and who you give them too as to not start a major fight. I slipped this girl two bottles non-chalantly as she couldn't get into the group of children trying to get the bulk of the containers. She tried but she just didn't have the strength or balance to stand up to everyone while holding her little brother.

The children have lots of uses for what we would otherwise call garbage - from making toys, selling or just plain have a container to carry water...
