Photographer's Note

...for anyone who has tried to isolate a single kid out in Africa - this is usually what you get. They all want in. I think the best way is to click and run, but than you miss half the reason why Africa is so great - the children and the people.

This was taken in the town of Waza, Cameroon, which is located just outside the entrance to the National Park of the same name. Coming from Douala it was probably one of the worst roads I heve ever seen - dust, dust, dust plus the occasional fifteen foot pothole and the like. Add in a few baboons, one or two washed out bridges and a rebel group or two and you have yourself a great drive in itself. Than you get this at the end and you think that maybe it's not always the journey there, but the destination that makes the trip.
