Photographer’s Note
Hi everybody, I'm quite exhausted after several weeks working in a very demanding environnement. I almost did not see anything but the way to my office for one month now. But lucky me, I made a good friend now that I meet almost each midday on my balcony when having a break for lunch. And today, big surprise, my little blue King Fisher introduced me his girl.
The weather is becoming better and better. We start to have a very nice light especially in the evening. I'm planning to enjoy that light starting next week-end when things will calm down at the office. I hope I will come back soon posting some interesting scenes from Douala.

Bonsoir Steven,
voici un bien joli couple, très coloré.
Il faut une certaine chance pour saisir ces instants et puis du bon matos :)
Bon WE

This is quite an amusing photo of two birds enjoying the scenery. Good thing they chose your balcony as their dating spot! TFS

Hi Steven,
Lovely shot here and a very good use of the DOF to highlight the couple. I also enjoyed the very soothing colours with the greys and blue. Well done!! Regards.

Nice shot of these two self-satisfied looking kingfishers, full of striking colour. It's a pity the one further away is slightly out of focus as a result of the very long focal length, but it is still a very pleasing photo and the detail on the nearer bird is fantastic. Thanks for the delightful note, too.
Regards,
Andrew

Fantastic details on their feathers, this is just a perfect photo, composition is superb, leaving enough space for them to look at.
Compliments,

Superb shot! Very good composition with the railing coming out of the corner and leading into depth, with the King Fishers aligned in the same diagonal line. Ofcourse, cause they sit on the railing. Nice DOF, I like it. The sharpness on the first bird is splendid, I don't mind about the second, that's what the DOF does. Great colours (red, blue, grey tones) too.
Hope you'll be having a calm time soon at the office and then shoot more of these shots!
Emiel.

What a blessing to have those two on your balcony every day. Beautiful birds and beautiful colours on your shot. Very well done.
By the way, I saw your photos from Angola and they are all excellent. What were you doing over there? I was born in Angola but now I live in Australia.

Hi Steven,
Excellent shot, I like it. DOF is perfect, colours are fantastic. You have very nice winged friends. I have seen recently 3 similar species (but not this) in Zambia and Malawi.
Best regards again from Poland,
Andrzej
