Photographer’s Note
This is a giraff taken at the Waza National Park, Extreme-North of Cameroon.
This is one of the easiest mamal to meet at Waza park. March is among the best periods to meet animal since it marks the end of the dry season.
I did find these giraffs extremely graceful. This one was a shy one which did not dare to come closer to the pond where she would drink at the end of the afternoon.

Bonjour Steven,
Belle prise avec une lumière très douce. La girafe est parfaitement placée dans le cadre de l'image et j'aime le fait qu'elle s'harmonise parfaitement avec les couleurs de son environnement.

Steven this photo is amazing! As i said many times i love wildlife photography and again, this is awesome photo of giraff in nature.
I can see the equipment you're using here, 100-400, in fact 160-640mm..that gets you a lot closer to animals. I recently bought 70-200 but going to get 2x extender to be able to take photos like this one:)

Simple composition. Superbly executed.
The colours and contrast are very nice. The positioning of the Giraffe and the DOF is perfect.

genial! j'adore les girafes, un vieux reve d'enfant! j'ai vu pour la première fois des éléphants en milieu naturel la semaine dernière au BF, mais pas cool ,ils nous ont chargés les deux fois... meme pas eu le temps de shooter... superbe lumière et dynamique! Bravo steven!
