Photographer’s Note

Good bye Cape Verde
With this 72th photo from Cape Verde I posted more than a third of all Cape Verde photos at TE.
Here are your top ten from Cape Verde
This not a typical landscape of this beautiful archipelago, but the main attraction on the island Sal and most visitiors see not much more of the amazing landscapes on the other island, because they stay only on this island.....how boring.
Sal is famous for sun,sun and sun, beaches and watersport.
This Salina close to the village Pedra da Lume is a good location to take nice shots, because of the red colored water and the nice sky.I don`t know exactly the reason for this phenomenon, but I think it`s caused by sea-weed,like in Laguna Colorada in Bolivia.
The saline is situated in an old crater, about 1200 meter wide. There were many tourist but they all stayed at the entrance of the crater.I was the only one walking around to manage some shots from diferent POV`s.The salt production stopped here in 1995.
I hope some other members will visit this beautiful country and post their photos.
Have a nice sunday!
