You've created something quite peculiar here, Jerzy, it reminds me of the salt deserts... clever use of desaturation, for it looks natural and not overdone... the key, of course, the dynamics and mood given by the guy there... rgds, Daniel

spectacular, Jerzy. I never felt with such intensity the mirage as in Egypt...The feeling of aridness and exposure to the emptyness and winds of the desert is simply great here.

hi jerzy,
i've never seen an image that better resembles (as a reflection i created in my head of course)
the scenery of fosca's constant nightmare (somewhere at the end of simone de beauvoir's
"all men are mortal"), like this one does.
sometimes long after the end of life as we know it, having lived almost forever, fosca finds himself
with nothing in sight but empty sand and as only companion for eternity, running around, a white mouse.
both cursed, both trapped in immortality ... who wants to live forever?
... one of my favorite books (of all times ;o)
(and i always thought fosca's story is - up to a certain point - the same as the 'highlander's' story)
... anyway (and luckily ;o), we are mortals.
we'll never live forever and we'll never get to see 'this' Terra
... food for thought
