Photographer’s Note
This is the view from nearly the top of Pico da Cruz ,with 1585 meters the second highest mountan of Santo Antao. The direction is west.In the background you can see a flat/round mountan. It`s Tope de Coroa, the highest mountan:1982 meters.
The interesting thing about this photo are the many trees,a verry rare view in Cape Verde.
To reach this point you have to walk through the clouds and you get verry wet.The reward is this fantastic view and pure sunshine.
hereyou can have a view in southwest directiion. This shot is taken not far from this point.

Hallo Andreas!

Hallo Leo
The clouds here have a very nice effect.
Yes, some areas of Santo Antão are a surprise with many trees. And the weather is cooler too in those areas. Some Cape-Verdeans call it "cold" :-)

Hi Leo,
diese schönen weißen Wolken haben ja tatsächlich was von einer Riesenwelle. Eine Imitation des Tsunamis. Wunderschön!
Gruss, Nino

Hi Andreas,
Well composed with the fog really adding another element to the scene, which is otherwise so bright and clear. The contrast here between the rich greenery and the barren peaks in the distance is dramatic. Well captured.

Hi Leo. Great view. Well titled, it certainly appears to be a great ocean of cloud and no doubt just as wet as a real ocean. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Paul.

A beautiful composition, where you make well use of the low cloud formation!
A classic, well balanced presentation, the light is great and gives superb natural colours and fine sharp details...

Hallo Andreas,
good frame and beautiful elements in this composition. The cloud bank occupying the bottom of the valley, raising by slopes and hiding the trees he is spectacular.
Illuminated very well, I like the light and the colors of your photo.
Done well.

Josep
