Kibumba refugee field

Waiting for help at Kibumba II dispensary.
Working together with IFRCRC we do about 700 daily consultations.Major problems were cholera and other diarrheal conditions, respiratory and skin diseases, meningitis,malnutrition, pregnancy disorders...
Talking about psychological post-trauma conditions is quite a "problem" for developed countries.

Vejo esta foto com o mesmo sentimento e atitude que vi as outras. Pode haver quem ache estas fotos repetitivas, mas eu acho que fazes bem em continuar a divulgá-las.
Primeiro, porque é preciso insistir para que estas tragédias não sejam esquecidas, para ver se algo é feito para que não se repitam.
Segundo, muita gente aqui no TE pode não ver as fotos de um dia, mas ver as de outro. Assim, a "repetição" acaba por fazer chegar esta mensagem a mais pessoas.

Fotograficamente (que é o que menos me importa aqui), esta (entre as semelhantes, assim com muita gente) é uma das que tem mais impacto, talvez devido à tenda, que salta à vista, e à posição de algumas pessoas.

Não costumo agradecer por as pessoas apresentarem fotos no TE. Parto do princípio que as publicam aqui já com a boa vontade de as partilhar com todos nós.
Mas tenho feito algumas excepções. Esta série de fotos merece também que eu manifeste o meu apreço e excepcional gratidão por terem sido publicadas. Sem esquecer, principalmente, o meu agrecimento e louvor pelo trabalho dos voluntários da AMI (e outros) na situação a que estas fotos dizem respeito.

Great photo,
great documentary. The living conditions are captured perfectly, its too bad the quality of the scan is not so good. You should try to rescann some of your photos at a higher quality as they are very good and teach us a great amount about the workd.

Hi Jose, a very moving photo showing the living condition of the refugees which i think is evry important to portray here in TE among members. This are scenes we don't normally see. Timeless, but hopefully we can end or diminish this human sufferings at least. Thanks for sharing....Alex
