Abidjan, in the local market.. like in a beehive, lots of people buzzying around;-)) this man's shirt attracted my eye and like a spider i decided to go for him;-)) I ended up shooting him... No big deal, the man is still alive , that was merely a canon shot;-)) lol (Why not write our notes like a thriller story...huh? lol)

Yeah, what it strikes me about this shot is the colour of the man' shirt against the strong green of the stall fruits.

En fait, c'est plus les touches de couleurs et de lumières qui sont ici et la qui me plaisent que le personnage central. C'est comme un va et vient du regard du permier plan vers le fond de l'image, c'est très difficile à expliquer. J'aime aussi beaucoup le gars contre le poteau au fond :o)

I'm very releived to hear that you still only shot people with loose "canon"balls :o) I really like the light here, all the fruit looks so atractive, but his face expression doesn't reveal whether he's selling or buying...?

I like the DOF and the candidness of this picture. The colors are wonderful. I consider this a very raw shot with a lot of life and truthfulness. 1986... wow...what a great talent you have at an early age.

Salut Eric,
Je suis tombe sur cette photo un peu par hasard. Elle me plait bien. J'aime bien voir les gens dans un contexte. Les contrastes et couleurs font que ca claque. La note est sympa aussi! Le scan est un peu pourri, mais ca ne change pas grand chose a l'ambiance de la photo.
