Photographer's Note

I have tried an unconventional framing here using the vertical row of Egyptian Gods at right as the main vertical line. The one with the double crown hat is Amun. There is a collection of ankhs depicted at far right. This arch was in deep shadow so I deliberately changed the exposure setting to slightly overexpose the bottom left corner as a trade off. It was 46c. I have added a workshop showing the entire gate for context.

This south arch to Karnak is rarely visited by tour groups who tend to congregate around the main hypostyle hall in the distance.
