Without knowing what was on the lest side of the image that does not show you have taken an interesting and well balanced(lighting-image) shot. Could you have moved to the right and captured only an uneven number of the dunes or outcroppings, or whatever they are? Images, including paintings always are better balanced with uneven numbers. Other than that, good shot....

Hi Brendan,
I had heard about the White Desert but hadn't seen lots of pictures yet. This one is great, there is a great contrast between the blue sky and the white forms.
