Cairo is where the East and West, the modern and the ancient, the Pharoahs and the city dwellers come together. The Pyramids of Cheops, Chepren and the Sphinx have stood for 46 centuries and it is at the heart of Cairo. It is probably the most visited monuments in Egypt.

I took this picture to show how big and massive the pyramid is. I am probably two or three blocks away from the pyramids but it looms large against the residences that sorrounds it.

Hi Andre,

this is a phenomenal perspective!!...cheers, arturo

Hello Andre,
I especialy like this shot because of the light falling on the top of the pyramid. it reminds me the only pyramid I have ever seen... the one in Las Vagas at Louxor Hotel.... Shame on me !
Perspective is funny, it looks like if the pyramide were almost same size than the buildings on the foreground.
Stephanie

Hello Andre

Now this is the true nature of TrekEarth. I had no idea that there were buildings anywhere near the pyramids. You have enlightened this viewer with a great perspective and POV, this is a completely informative shot, brilliant

Martin
