It's a great shot for several reasons, TWJ! The boy's expression, and his situation, are timeless and universal, but the bench he's on and the obvious poverty add specific cultural context. The light on the boy is great, and the choice of DOF works very well. (It could be slightly sharper on the boy.)

Hello twj,
Another excellent slice of life -- from Eritrea -- and the ubiquitous scene of a child being punished. Better this way than by corporal means. Nicely composed, but a fill-flash may have given an improvement in exposure. However, Kensimage, for whose opinion I have respect, likes the exposure in this manner. Accordingly, honest people can disagree.
