Photographer’s Note

What to say about this landscape...well first, I passed through this road in three different occasions, the first time the greenery was absent, today after a good rainy season this photo shows the result. Unfortunately the rain was not enough..so let's hope that the climatic change do not worsen the situation even more...Second, today I am leaving for a weeks holyday to Italy, I am planning to buy a new camera and post new pictures from a different country..it is interesting that I will be on my way to that particular country as both nations have strong bonds, a result due to the fact that Italy ruled Eritrea for fifty years..when "il Duce" lost his war all Italian colonies such as Libia and Somalia passed over to the nice guys..France and England!! Where they nice anyway?

Hola Rolando.

La vista es muy buena. Me gusta. Lo único que yo hubiera hecho un poco más a la derecha y ver solo paisaje aunque claro es una opinión.

very impressive composition with good contrasts and the tree in that landscape before the mountains. Soft overexposure in some clouds but without disturbing. The colours are very good here.

Nice shot and good note Rolando. The colors and contrast in this shot are really good, especially the greens against the orangy land and the blue sky. I also like the splattering of shadows on the mountains in the background. A nice looking shot. Composition wise, I think it would be better with the tree off centered, but still, a nice looking shot. The one thing I like in this, compared to your last landscape shot (A Valley), is that this one is a little less saturated giving more of a natural appearance to the landscape while keeping the punchy green in the trees.

Rolando, a very nice landscape photography for the break that is coming up for you. Have a good time to buy your new camera and I'm waiting for the new images. Are you sure that one country is nicer than another one? I might raise serious doubts about that ... Anyway, the composition of this shot with the road leading into it and turning to the right like embracing the lonely tree is great. What a shock wil it be after being at this place and entering Italy ...

Qué bonita foto! maravilloso paisaje. Creo que me gustaría aún más si hubieras dejado el árbol pegado al margen iquierdo de la foto. Creo que hubiera ganado la composición. Seguro que se te ocurrió y no era posible porque había algo (un coche, una casa... ) que lo estropeaba. De todas formas he hecho un WS, cortando un poco la carretera para que veas lo que quiero decir. Espero que no te importe.

Bra färger här. Har det varit något efter arbete? Den gröna färgen har blivit väldigt framträdande mot det karga lanskapet.

Hi Rolando,

I love the vast meditative landscape .. with the evocative road .. I actually maybe would have more of the road and the tree pushed a bit more off center .. The lone tall tree in such a place is very thoughtful against the bright starkness .. very nice.
