Photographer’s Note
People in Africa
are always on the move.
Everyday
the first thing
they have to do
is walking
in order to collect water
for many chilometres
along dusty paths
with every kind
of containers.

superb photo. Her smile is so beautiful and means a lot here : a lot to walk but still smiling.

That's a very nice photo Luca. Like the smile, the hat, the guy walking away, and the wind revealed by the dusty air, floating clothes and pose of the girl. Good usage of depth of field too. Claude.

I like the dynamic between the posing, smiling woman and the walking guy with the water containers on his back. A hard life, but her smile lessens the hardship impact. Nice natural tones too, and well framed.

Hi Luca,
Beautiful smile. The way she leans forward with that load in the back shows well on this side angle. And the other person complements the scene. Wonderful daily life African view.

Hello Luca,
How can we complain about any of our fickle worries in the so called developed world when life entails such a struggle in some parts of the world.
Thanks for sharing

Hi Luca,
Great, warm and humane portrait of daily life. Africa with a big, big smile. Your note is so right, too. Always walking with containers...but what joy! This is a shot that can teach a lot of people in the west a thing or two.

Hello Luca,
An optimistic view despite the obvious hard work, made also clear by the other woman carrying jerrycans.
Well composed and soft natural colours.

Paul

Hi Luca,
great and nice portrait of this smiling woman on the side of the road. And this is not a rooted portrait thanks to the man on the background, walking to get some water. Good colors.
Good atmosphere on this scene, typical from Africa (I also saw a lot of people walking or biking on the roads of Mali or Burkina-Faso, impressive).

Hi, Luca. A very good framing with the lady opening the view onto the walking man. The yellow of the containers and the colourful clothes contrast with the grey surroundings. The lady is smiling and I appreciate this! People who lead difficult lives smile much more easily than we do!
Have a nice weekend,
Philippe

hello Luca,
you have captured this moment perfectly. The girl seems to curve her body to frame the retreating water carrier. She is lovely and slim and has a super smile.
Well done,
Bev

A nice moment captured Luca, did you call her:)
The monotonal background makes a good contrast.

Good morning Luca
One shot one whole culture unknown to our western eyes. What is really important, and a lesson to our displeased attitude with everything in our warm homes and full refrigerators is that Smile on her face. Congratulations to both of you for cooperating in this unique composition

Hello Luca,
That is just a wonderful photograph!! And yes, people walk, walk and once more walk a lot in Africa! I'm always surprised with the distances that are covered.
Maybe it explains why all the no. 1 marathon runners are always African ;-).
Greetings! Dennis
